Lenny Vorster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Löhr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldo Joinvilense scored 0-3 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lenny Vorster, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Vergil Rupov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute Marco Löhr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny Vorster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Wolves FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Klemensson came free, but Guillen Aguillar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genk were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Wolves FC - DMZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alfons Rijniers took the corner. Alfons Rijniers made a great header on Genk's corner, it was just that Wolves FC - DMZ's Guillen Aguillar managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Joinvilense in the 38th minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Lenny Vorster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillen Aguillar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Klemensson in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Ronaldo Joinvilense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guillen Aguillar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vergil Rupov in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vergil Rupov to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Wolves FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Trif came free, but Guillen Aguillar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lenny Vorster didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Joinvilense went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 64thth minute of the game Suat Kaya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wolves FC - DMZ's Guillen Aguillar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Genk's Lenny Vorster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Joinvilense in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Ronaldo Joinvilense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny Vorster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Joinvilense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lenny Vorster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Guillen Aguillar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Trif in the 77th minute of the match. Genk's Albert Verdun was substituted for Alfons Rijniers. Wolves FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Joinvilense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Joinvilense in the 89th minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Lenny Vorster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wolves FC - DMZ were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Genk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abram Cadabra took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Abram Cadabra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lenny Vorster quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wolves FC - DMZ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
