After having played for 3 minutes, Axel Davus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Paal-Tervant's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Davus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fábio Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Davus's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. When KFC Paal-Tervant's Axel Davus in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gremio NG's goalie prevented a goal. Freddy Tilens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio NG's zone, Axel Davus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Pinheiro came out of the goal and Axel Davus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dino do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Freddy Tilens made a huge save. In the 20th minute, Axel Davus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fábio Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Leandro da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KFC Paal-Tervant's Leandro da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Davus in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fábio Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Axel Davus came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the KFC Paal-Tervant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Davus couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Axel Davus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fábio Pinheiro was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Axel Davus made a precise shot to the right of Fábio Pinheiro. Gremio NG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Axel Davus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, Klemens Huffschmid was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Paal-Tervant's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gremio NG the free kick. The supporters of Gremio NG booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klemens Huffschmid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júnior Quintana to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as KFC Paal-Tervant's Axel Davus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fábio Pinheiro. That made the score 0-3 after 50 minutes of play. Fábio Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Davus's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. William Huijghens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fábio Pinheiro having to make a save. Axel Davus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Fábio Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fábio Pinheiro stood somewhat misplaced when Axel Davus came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 87 minute. Fábio Pinheiro was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Axel Davus capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Davus really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Davus in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fábio Pinheiro saved Gremio NG from getting behind. In the 96th match minute, Gremio NG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Monteiro to maneuver through the defense.
