After a rather tough play, Gremio NG's Dino do Vale got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Gremio NG booed when 1948 MKS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanche Glen Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. When 1948 MKS's Bressal Quinnless in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gremio NG's goalie prevented a goal. João Augusto Monteiro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Raimundo Travassos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Ciro Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the game, Robert McCready was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1948 MKS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gremio NG the free kick. Robert McCready hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Bressal Quinnless recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fábio Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beothach Brennan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bressal Quinnless went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th match minute, Gremio NG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino do Vale to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen got control of the ball when Júnior Quintana tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 39 minutes 1948 MKS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Raimundo Travassos who took care of the corner kick. Ter Stegen made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Júnior Quintana sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute of the match Austin Deery shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fábio Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bressal Quinnless in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fábio Pinheiro saved Gremio NG from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bressal Quinnless in the 45th minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bressal Quinnless stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Gremio NG getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Dino do Vale hit a great ball. Gilbert Jameson kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. A hard shot 63 in the game by Bressal Quinnless from a close distance when the talented Fábio Pinheiro managed to make a qualified save. Gremio NG's players were relieved. In the 67th minute, Júnior Quintana made a precise shot to the right of Ter Stegen. 1948 MKS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 73 minutes, Beothach Brennan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1948 MKS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beothach Brennan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when Gremio NG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Beothach Brennan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bressal Quinnless in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fábio Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Bressal Quinnless put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fábio Pinheiro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bressal Quinnless in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fábio Pinheiro saved Gremio NG from getting behind. In the 88th match minute, 1948 MKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cianán McDonald to maneuver through the defense. Ter Stegen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júnior Quintana's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. If Beothach Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1948 MKS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
