In the 21st minute, Benedicto Atarratze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Trulsson in the 22nd minute of play forced SK Gullegem's goalkeeper Urmas Känsäkangas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by SK Gullegem's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frans Koopmans was slow to take the kick. During this time IFK Gladdarna's players had a chance to rest. Nico Jamieson tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Urmas Känsäkangas. Kurt Ekberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benedicto Atarratze showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 28 minute of play. IFK Gladdarna's Kurt Ekberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save IFK Gladdarna from getting a goal against them.
