Kurt Ekberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 23 minutes into the game, IFK Gladdarna's Emil Trulsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chiquinho Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcial Navarro in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Ekberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcial Navarro in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kurt Ekberg saved IFK Gladdarna from getting behind. Marcial Navarro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Trulsson came free, but Chiquinho Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, IFK Gladdarna's Simon Kvarnström got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Marcial Navarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Simon Kvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Trulsson to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Trulsson got free with Chiquinho Romero in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kurt Ekberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Navarro in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Koch came free, but Chiquinho Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arrecifes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emil Trulsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Chiquinho Romero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcial Navarro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Ekberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Emil Trulsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Chiquinho Romero made a huge save. The Arrecifes fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Arrecifes's Marcial Navarro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arrecifes's Anier Aballe was substituted for Ayi Sarumpaet.
