Gilmar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hampus Karlstedt in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Mauricio Rienda notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Barcelona de América's Gilmar Quadros. Gilmar Quadros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th match minute, América Magics Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Rienda to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, América Magics Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Pettersson came free, but Will Goldthorpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilmar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Rienda in the 24th minute of play. Ronaldinho Gentenaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Goldthorpe having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
Barcelona de América's Thomas Ravousis was substituted for Ronaldinho Gentenaar. The wind increased when Caetano Levandowsky made the kick off in the second half. Gilmar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Rienda in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Perlaza Lena got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice moves Perlaza Lena could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Will Goldthorpe however easily saved by the left post. In the 65th minute of the match Barcelona de América got a corner. América Magics Fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Perlaza Lena ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Barcelona de América's Perlaza Lena to fire away a dangerous shot which Will Goldthorpe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 71st minute, Caetano Levandowsky ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Will Goldthorpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Will Goldthorpe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Levandowsky went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Barcelona de América's Hugo Sitnieks managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Maximiliano Morales in the 82 minute of the game. 83 minutes into the game, Barcelona de América's Caetano Levandowsky nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Will Goldthorpe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Will Goldthorpe made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Caetano Levandowsky sent off a good shot on target. Sylwester Pyrzyce hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute Caetano Levandowsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Goldthorpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Levandowsky might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Will Goldthorpe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Levandowsky ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute Caetano Levandowsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Goldthorpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Caetano Levandowsky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcelona de América's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano Levandowsky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Barcelona de América supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barcelona de América would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
