Anacleto Dessauer struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Frankie Gunn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magallanes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Mondaca in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frankie Gunn saved Leões do Sul 53 from getting behind. After some careless play in the Leões do Sul 53 defense, Juan Mondaca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frankie Gunn. The Leões do Sul 53 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frankie Gunn should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Börje Westerberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leões do Sul 53 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Arne Kullander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ksawery Witkowski having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Mondaca in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frankie Gunn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Mondaca took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frankie Gunn. Frankie Gunn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Frankie Gunn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Mondaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 35th play minutes Juan Mondaca shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Frankie Gunn and just under the crossbar into goal. Juan Mondaca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kraig Sandoval made in the 41st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rony Rüşti immediately put the ball in play. 46 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Mondaca came free, but Frankie Gunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Börje Westerberg was the one to do the kick off. Juan Mondaca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Frankie Gunn made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Mondaca came free, but Frankie Gunn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Arne Kullander got a free kick in the 74th minute. Magallanes's Kadim Sebil was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 75th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a little luck, Leões do Sul 53's Frankie Gunn got control of the ball when Anacleto Dessauer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kadim Sebil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Frankie Gunn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kadim Sebil. The supporters of Leões do Sul 53 booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seran Turres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Leões do Sul 53's Rony Rüşti got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 86 minutes, Kadim Sebil made it 1-7 with a short kick to the right side. Leões do Sul 53's Frankie Gunn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 93 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Guto Kleber. The Leões do Sul 53 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Magallanes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
