The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 26th minute Domenico Giannotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Persoons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abhyudaya Rattus short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Leandro Custódio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Tollygunge Agragami booed when Leões do Sul 53 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Tollygunge Agragami's Indrarajan Kapoor tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rony Rüşti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Claude Persoons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Domenico Giannotti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leões do Sul 53 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Claude Persoons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Barea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Custódio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abhyudaya Rattu in the 41st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domenico Giannotti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tollygunge Agragami's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hílton Britto was slow to take the kick. During this time Leões do Sul 53's players had a chance to rest. Hílton Britto made a great header on Leões do Sul 53's corner, it was just that Tollygunge Agragami's Claude Persoons managed to reach the ball for a save. 58 minutes into the match, Tollygunge Agragami's goalkeeper Claude Persoons had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domenico Giannotti. Leões do Sul 53's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Giannotti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Tollygunge Agragami's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Rüşti came free, but Claude Persoons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes, Bhavasagara Dhamija mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tollygunge Agragami and the Leões do Sul 53 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tollygunge Agragami getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Bhavasagara Dhamija hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Rony Rüşti took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Claude Persoons to make any attempt to save it. Domenico Giannotti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Claude Persoons made a huge save. If Domenico Giannotti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes, Jodh Sawhney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tollygunge Agragami and the Leões do Sul 53 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jodh Sawhney hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Claude Persoons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Rüşti in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Leões do Sul 53 were awarded a corner. Hílton Britto went to the cornerflag to take it. With his leg Claude Persoons managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Leões do Sul 53's Rony Rüşti fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Claude Persoons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Rüşti in the 91st minute of play. Leões do Sul 53's Domenico Giannotti got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claude Persoons made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Domenico Giannotti sent off a good shot on target. The Leões do Sul 53 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
