The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marz Caracedo got a throw-in 4 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Isaias Blasco. Esteban Dreer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Li Sha Yuan in the 11th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Noel Hägele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 22 played minutes Defensores del Albinegro got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Balesio. In the 24th minute of the match GALACTICOS got a corner. Defensores del Albinegro's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrés Hong ran over to the corner to take the kick. Andrés Hong made a great header on GALACTICOS's corner, it was just that Defensores del Albinegro's Cornelio Merexildo managed to reach the ball for a save. 32 minutes into the game, GALACTICOS's Noel Hägele nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Cornelio Merexildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Hägele in the 38th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Balesio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defensores del Albinegro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GALACTICOS the free kick. Cornelio Merexildo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alfredo Palos.

The wind increased when Luciano Jerano made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Luciano Jerano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Esteban Dreer, 1-1. Cornelio Merexildo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Hägele's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, GALACTICOS's Andrés Hong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Merexildo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Elco Vid came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the GALACTICOS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elco Vid couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, GALACTICOS's Elco Vid sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Merexildo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. GALACTICOS's Noel Hägele got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noel Hägele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saturnino Diagur's late challenge caught a GALACTICOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saturnino Diagur helped the player get up and apologised. Saturnino Diagur kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Ildefonso Balesio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Balesio threw the ball into play from the sideline. GALACTICOS's Dino Teles quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Noel Hägele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Merexildo was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90th minute Li Sha Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Dreer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Noel Hägele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALACTICOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Hägele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Hägele in the 98th minute of play forced Defensores del Albinegro's goalkeeper Cornelio Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
