João Carlos Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vedat Burçhan's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute, Rodolfo Montay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Carlos Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 29th minute Rodolfo Montay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vedat Burçhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Carlos Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, Campus Douro Academy's Eliseu Bragança got control of the ball when Krakaca Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Futuros FC's João Carlos Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vedat Burçhan in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Futuros FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Beto Smith hit a great ball. Eliseu Bragança took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto Smith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Futuros FC booed when Campus Douro Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseu Bragança showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krakaca Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute.
