With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chumo Palmero in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Monte saved C.A. Boca Juniors from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chumo Palmero got free with Pedro Monte in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th play minute Chumo Palmero came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Monte. 1-0. Pedro Monte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Myroslav Akymenko in the 15th minute of the match. Pedro Monte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Myroslav Akymenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to C.A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Nemesio Victoro hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Chumo Palmero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Monte was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After some careless play in the C.A. Boca Juniors defense, Myroslav Akymenko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Monte. The C.A. Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Monte should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, C.A. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Pedro Monte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chumo Palmero. Pedro Monte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Myroslav Akymenko's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. C.A. Boca Juniors's Pedro Monte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myroslav Akymenko in the 39th minute of play. Pedro Monte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myroslav Akymenko in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Messi during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Ruh Lviv's Myroslav Akymenko got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Monte made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Zeng Sang Xing sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramon Ermano was the one to do the kick off. FC Ruh Lviv's Myroslav Akymenko got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Myroslav Akymenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ruh Lviv fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. A collision led to C.A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Pedro Monte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Federico Millano charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Millano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Pedro Monte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led FC Ruh Lviv's Pavlo Paraschiy to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Monte despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of FC Ruh Lviv booed when C.A. Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Esiquio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When FC Ruh Lviv's Chumo Palmero in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. Boca Juniors's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th minute, Myroslav Akymenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
