After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Domingos Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marzagão's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Santiago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Balestra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute Federico Tedeschi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Karanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mieszko Karanowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Tedeschi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mieszko Karanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Tedeschi in the 17th minute of the match. After 19 minutes of play, Calenzano's Ruud van Nistelrooij made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mieszko Karanowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Ruud van Nistelrooij made a precise shot to the right of Mieszko Karanowski. Marzagão's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After taking down the ball on Calenzano's corner Ennio Daniele fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mieszko Karanowski quite easily take care of the ball. Federico Tedeschi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mieszko Karanowski having to make a save. Mieszko Karanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Alessandrini in the 31st minute of play. Alessio Santini was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. Calenzano made a substitution. Filippo Vulcano replaced Federico Tedeschi. Donato Balestra went to the wrong direction when Murillo do Valle was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eliseu Fantini hit a great ball. If Ruud van Nistelrooij had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Ruud van Nistelrooij shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Karanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Calenzano's Donato Balestra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Santiago in the 53rd minute of play. With a little luck, Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski got control of the ball when Ruud van Nistelrooij tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Murillo do Valle got a free kick in the 61st minute. Murillo do Valle hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Mieszko Karanowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Di Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The corner ended in Antonello Di Toma almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Santiago in the 69th minute of play forced Calenzano's goalkeeper Donato Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Enzo Martelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marzagão's Jânio Faria was substituted for Cezar Martins. Domingos Santiago might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Balestra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingos Santiago ran back to his position shaking his head. Arturo Di Matteo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mieszko Karanowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Eliseu Fantini hit a great ball. Filippo Vulcano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mieszko Karanowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Arturo Di Matteo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mieszko Karanowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Calenzano booed when Marzagão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Antonello Di Toma from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Mieszko Karanowski's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Umberto Antunes hit a great ball. Mieszko Karanowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Di Matteo in the 95th minute. The Marzagão fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Calenzano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
