When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Lambis Chotard took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Árpád Mészáros to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, FC Johannesburg's Árpád Mészáros got control of the ball when Diguinho Gaúcho tried to sneak it across the goal line.
