Luciano Victoro was slow to take the kick. During this time Kaplan's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Kaplan's corner Luciano Victoro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Epifanio Beila quite easily take care of the ball. Marco Van Der Taelen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Martinez having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Nemesio Opilano made a precise shot to the right of Emilian Martinez. Kaplan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 45 minutes, Nemesio Opilano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Ciro Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Opilano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marco Van Der Taelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Cordarrol in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Epifanio Beila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ren Zhi Ke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of San Ciro Utd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kaplan:s goal. The referee gave Kaplan a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alvaro Cordarrol, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of San Ciro Utd's Epifanio Beila. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ren Zhi Ke in the 67th minute of play forced San Ciro Utd's goalkeeper Epifanio Beila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led to Kaplan's Damião Granja getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal.
