A collision led to Quebec city FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Eric William hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quebec city FC's zone, 余义桑 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Whitmore came out of the goal and 余义桑 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Quebec city FC's Timmy Newcomb got a free kick in the 29th minute. Carlos Whitmore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 余义桑 in the 30th minute of the match. 郭风战 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Carlos Whitmore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timmy Newcomb during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Timmy Newcomb hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 邵邦沙 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Carlos Whitmore made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Severino Mitxel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlos Whitmore quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Carlos Whitmore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 余义桑, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Carlos Whitmore had great luck who in the 40thth minute grab hold of the ball when 郭风战 from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Quebec city FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when 余义桑 scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Whitmore, making the score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, 郭风战 managed to get in a good position for a shot. 上海江南长兴造船农民工联队's supporters rose to their feet, but 郭风战 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Whitmore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 余义桑 in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Whitmore prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidney Aupry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Whitmore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 郭风战 in the 51st minute of the match. When Rudolph Hutchinson fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quebec city FC's protests and gave Rudolph Hutchinson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Rudolph Hutchinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Whitmore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 邵邦沙, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rudolph Hutchinson hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes Quebec city FC got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Newcomb. Carlos Whitmore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Mitxel in the 68th minute of play. 余义桑 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute 余义桑 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Whitmore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quebec city FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
