Noël Péret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Urtun in the 18th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Patrice Sénéchal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Ruisko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Millo de Haedo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Simon Mertz was slow to take the kick. During this time Saint Côme de Fresné's players had a chance to rest. 35 minutes into the match, Alejo Urtun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Noël Péret, 4-0. The supporters of Saint Côme de Fresné booed when El Millo de Haedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Orlondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noël Péret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Aureo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as El Millo de Haedo's Rogelio Orlondo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Noël Péret. That made the score 5-0 after 43 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Saint Côme de Fresné's Patrice Sénéchal got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernán Crespo made a kick off. Alejo Urtun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Noël Péret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remigio Uhin struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Noël Péret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Millo de Haedo. 59 minutes into the game, Adrián González was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Millo de Haedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saint Côme de Fresné the free kick. Adrián González kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Simon Mertz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angel Toro scored 7-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noël Péret, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. During the 73rd minute of the match Simon Mertz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Simon Mertz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. El Millo de Haedo fully deserved thier win.
