In the 10th minute, Schorsch Schmalzbauer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Augusto Arósio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Matt Sullivan struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Carlos Augusto Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Staffordshire Terrier FC. If Ferdi Saksø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Augusto Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Carlos Augusto Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 20th minute of the match. Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Zemantauskas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Veloso to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Augusto Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Schorsch Schmalzbauer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Arósio having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 34th minute of play forced Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean Veloso hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Nilson Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Zemantauskas FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Lima. The audience held their breath when Waldemar Guimarães in the 41st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Carlos Augusto Arósio's left hand side. In the 46th minute Schorsch Schmalzbauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Schorsch Schmalzbauer was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Augusto Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Schorsch Schmalzbauer. Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 81st minute of play. Staffordshire Terrier FC's Schorsch Schmalzbauer was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Staffordshire Terrier FC's Tristram Gower was substituted for Schorsch Schmalzbauer.
