The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 4th minute of play forced Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Schorsch Schmalzbauer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Pedro Luís Senna hit a great ball. Staffordshire Terrier FC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Zemantauskas FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Waldemar Guimarães took the corner. In the 21st minute, Eugênio Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugênio Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 史挺亮. After 25 minutes Zemantauskas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Waldemar Guimarães who took care of the corner kick. Staffordshire Terrier FC's Matt Sullivan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Augusto Arósio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Rossi in the 27th minute of play forced Staffordshire Terrier FC's goalkeeper Clive Holloway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Zemantauskas FC's zone, Schorsch Schmalzbauer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Arósio came out of the goal and Schorsch Schmalzbauer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Schorsch Schmalzbauer might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Augusto Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Schorsch Schmalzbauer ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Schorsch Schmalzbauer got free with Carlos Augusto Arósio in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 史挺亮 scored 1-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Augusto Arósio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42ndth minute of the game Schorsch Schmalzbauer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Gencer Benlioğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Staffordshire Terrier FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zemantauskas FC the free kick. After 45 played minutes Staffordshire Terrier FC got a freekick which was hit by Gencer Benlioğlu. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Ahmet Reha Pekel made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Augusto Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Sullivan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Augusto Arósio saved Zemantauskas FC from getting behind. 史挺亮 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Schorsch Schmalzbauer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Arósio having to make a save. 60 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Schorsch Schmalzbauer came free, but Carlos Augusto Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Zemantauskas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Reha Pekel to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ahmet Reha Pekel hit a great ball. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 68th minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Schorsch Schmalzbauer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Staffordshire Terrier FC's Tristram Gower was substituted for Schorsch Schmalzbauer. After a rather tough play, Zemantauskas FC's Ahmet Reha Pekel got a free kick in the 84th minute. Waldemar Guimarães was slow to take the kick. During this time Staffordshire Terrier FC's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, 史挺亮 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staffordshire Terrier FC's supporters rose to their feet, but 史挺亮 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Staffordshire Terrier FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
