Spectators: 184 (Terracing: 139, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) Bandung Tigers's Zulkarnaen Mandaga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Allan Corrigan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Mekki Item made a huge save. With a little luck, Bandung Tigers's Mekki Item got control of the ball when Allan Corrigan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haji Gille kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Erik Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zulkarnaen Mandaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Zulkarnaen Mandaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fachri Puang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Themos Leontiadis took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mekki Item. Mekki Item dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some careless play in the Panionios MK defense, Zulkarnaen Mandaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erik Vale. The Panionios MK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erik Vale should have stopped the shot. Mekki Item made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zulkarnaen Mandaga in the 27th minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Erik Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Corrigan got free with Mekki Item in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Themos Leontiadis in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mekki Item saved Bandung Tigers from getting behind. Zulkarnaen Mandaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Fachri Puang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bandung Tigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fachri Puang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mekki Item showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Themos Leontiadis to make the kick off. Themos Leontiadis scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mekki Item, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute Themos Leontiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mekki Item saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Haji Gille in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Panionios MK's Kyriakos Akrivoulis. If Themos Leontiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Themos Leontiadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mekki Item saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Vale made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Zulkarnaen Mandaga sent off a good shot on target. Mekki Item showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Corrigan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. It was beautiful to see Bandung Tigers's Wang Zheng Yun in action when he in the 84th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! A sloppy throw-in by Haji Gille in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Panionios MK's Allan Corrigan. A collision led to Bandung Tigers getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Wang Zheng Yun hit a great ball.
