Damazy Kensicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Róbert Behúň made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henk Cardinaal in the 14th minute. Damazy Kensicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Soter in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Soczewki Gliwice's goal looked a bit too open when Jozef Šagáth came free, but Damazy Kensicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Róbert Behúň took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomasz Sobania, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Frisco was slow to take the kick. During this time Soczewki Gliwice's players had a chance to rest. FC Kukova's Róbert Behúň played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomasz Sobania in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Olaf Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Blas Soter came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC Kukova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blas Soter couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Sobania in the 68th minute of play forced FC Kukova's goalkeeper Róbert Behúň to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Soczewki Gliwice's Tomasz Sobania got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Kukova had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
