The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marco Benitez kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Nightmare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Smuskiewicz to maneuver through the defense. Edmund Lenertej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Semail Özbir, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jaroslaw Mierzejewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmund Lenertej having to make a save. 16 minutes into the game, Nightmare's Witold Pryla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yusuf Stegen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Benitez in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Teddy Bourasseau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Benitez in the 23rd minute of play forced San Diego FC's goalkeeper Yusuf Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of San Diego FC booed when Nightmare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoff Turner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nightmare's zone, Talip Ecemiş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmund Lenertej came out of the goal and Talip Ecemiş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yusuf Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo 吴鹏 in the 30th minute of play. Ronaldo 吴鹏 took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yusuf Stegen. Yusuf Stegen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Ronaldo 吴鹏 charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo 吴鹏 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, Nightmare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo 吴鹏 to maneuver through the defense. Edmund Lenertej showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teddy Bourasseau in the 37th minute of the match. Witold Pryla in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yusuf Stegen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Diego FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tang Han was slow to take the kick. During this time Nightmare's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Witold Pryla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen did a great save. With his leg Yusuf Stegen managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Nightmare's Marco Benitez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Witold Pryla made a kick off. After 54 minutes San Diego FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tang Han who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Nightmare's Tang Han to fire away a dangerous shot which Yusuf Stegen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Witold Pryla in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yusuf Stegen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nightmare's Edmund Lenertej played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teddy Bourasseau in the 60th minute of play. Semail Özbir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Witold Pryla in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yusuf Stegen saved San Diego FC from getting behind. Edmund Lenertej made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Semail Özbir sent off a good shot on target. After 70 played minutes San Diego FC got a freekick which was hit by Talip Ecemiş. Nightmare made a substitution. Wiktor Fink replaced Guy Grimault. Nightmare made a substitution. Mariusz Skarpiak replaced Geoff Turner. Teddy Bourasseau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Edmund Lenertej tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Witold Pryla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yusuf Stegen was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After 88 minutes San Diego FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tang Han who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Nightmare's corner Tang Han fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yusuf Stegen quite easily take care of the ball. San Diego FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Nightmare had won, even though San Diego FC had held more of the ball.
