The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marios Sabanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Precioso in the 32nd minute of the match. ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chu Zhen Xun in the 36th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Anestis Tsoukalas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Anestis Tsoukalas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roan Sand came free, but Marios Sabanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Preciosos short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Marios Sabanis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abubakar Kamarád struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Marcelino Ramone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.. Anestis Tsoukalas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Libres Futbol's Ezequiel Truylos was substituted for Eulalio Sidro.
