Cosmo Abegg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Ljungberg in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goalkeeper Janar Lehismets had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Friedrich Hölderlin. Janar Lehismets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Alighieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Ulfa FSV booed when New Loser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Rikard Göransson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Loser FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 41st minute Rikard Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmo Abegg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rikard Göransson was the one to do the kick off. Rikard Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. New Loser FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Esterházy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 76 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's Rikard Göransson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cosmo Abegg narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
