The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wlodzimierz Rawa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iwo Sawicki went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christo Bothenhain in the 8th minute of play forced Green Horses's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Rawa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wlodzimierz Rawa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Sawicki in the 10th minute of play. Evripidis Tachtsidis's late challenge caught a Tiger's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evripidis Tachtsidis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Green Horses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evripidis Tachtsidis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Green Horses getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Odysseas Terzis hit a great ball. Wlodzimierz Rawa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pentti Ojala in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Pentti Ojala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Rawa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chan Clet took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josef Witlatschil. Josef Witlatschil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Josef Witlatschil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chan Clet in the 25th minute of the match. Wlodzimierz Rawa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaizka Mendieta in the 31st minute of the match. Kostas Mitseas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josef Witlatschil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Odysseas Terzis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Horses's supporters rose to their feet, but Odysseas Terzis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josef Witlatschil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christo Bothenhain took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wlodzimierz Rawa. Wlodzimierz Rawa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 46th minute, Paris Mourlos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chan Clet was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Chan Clet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Witlatschil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Chan Clet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Green Horses's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiger the free kick. In the 56th match minute, Green Horses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chan Clet to maneuver through the defense. Wlodzimierz Rawa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaizka Mendieta in the 57th minute of play. Odysseas Terzis might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josef Witlatschil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Odysseas Terzis ran back to his position shaking his head. Wlodzimierz Rawa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iwo Sawicki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 71 minute of play. Tiger made a substitution. Marten Weise replaced Iwo Sawicki. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lukas Wurm got free with Wlodzimierz Rawa in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiger's goalkeeper Josef Witlatschil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josef Witlatschil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Mitseas, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. With an all-out effort, Tiger's Wlodzimierz Rawa threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marten Weise, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Green Horses defense, Marten Weise kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wlodzimierz Rawa. The Green Horses fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wlodzimierz Rawa should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Pentti Ojala took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Wlodzimierz Rawa to make any attempt to save it. Tiger's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
