Apolo Aguirre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar De León in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Oscar De León shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Aguirre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes Atlético Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Claude Sena. In the 22nd minute, Norberto Theodore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute of the match, Oscar De León tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Apolo Aguirre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
