The Juventus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olexiy Stus should have stopped the shot. When Marcin Hodyl came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcin Hodyl couldn't finish the play. Albino Canor in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olexiy Stus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Laredo in the 22nd minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nazariy Bogdaniv hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Wilfredo Vimaro from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Olexiy Stus's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 32 minutes into the match, Juventus FC's goalkeeper Olexiy Stus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albino Canor. In the 34th minute Danilo Seber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olexiy Stus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Albino Canor to fire away a dangerous shot which Olexiy Stus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Motyka in the 37th minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robertinho Baggio to make the kick off. The tension between the Santos de Buenos Aires FC and the Juventus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Danilo Seber got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Hipolito Rozarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olexiy Stus having to interfere. Hipolito Rozarius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Seber in the 77th minute of play forced Juventus FC's goalkeeper Olexiy Stus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Juventus FC's zone, Albino Canor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olexiy Stus came out of the goal and Albino Canor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Feliciano Ayala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robertinho Baggio in the 83rd minute of play. Emilio Mari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Artur Zhdaha got a throw-in 91 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jan Motyka. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Motyka got free with Feliciano Ayala in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Santos de Buenos Aires FC had won after a very even match.
