Resistencia's Gregorio Martinez got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Hugo Bakker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cris Bala. Brasiliense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Bakker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gaetano Mathieu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho de Azevedo in the 20th minute. Brasiliense FC's Cris Bala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Sabin in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Hugo Bakker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Bala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Freddy Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cris Bala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Sabin in the 31st minute of play. If Kılıç Kerim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Brasiliense FC's Lino Veloso got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 36th minute Hugo Bakker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cris Bala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Clemente Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brasiliense FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Resistencia the free kick. Clemente Lopez hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After the first half Resistencia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deng Zhen Fan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Hugo Bakker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Resistencia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Cris Bala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Bakker, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Gaetano Mathieu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Deng Zhen Fan went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deng Zhen Fan in the 71st minute of play forced Resistencia's goalkeeper Gaetano Mathieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Sabin in the 72nd minute of play forced Brasiliense FC's goalkeeper Cris Bala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Sabin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Deng Zhen Fan scored 2-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaetano Mathieu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Brasiliense FC's zone, Hugo Bakker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cris Bala came out of the goal and Hugo Bakker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cris Bala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Sabin in the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Luís Fernando Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Bakker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Cris Bala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fernando Freitas hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
