Gaetano Mathieu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Moneda's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Moneda came free, but Gaetano Mathieu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaetano Mathieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Moneda in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Sabin came free, but Tristan Franquis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
