When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Petrigai Guau sped through Saiko FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Sabóia. When Saiko FC's Fábio Torres in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BRUGGE FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Gilberto Thuram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 蒋誉朋 hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Walmir Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Guo Wen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Avelar in the 31st minute of play. Zé Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Petrigai Guau sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Garcia in the 36th minute of play forced BRUGGE FC's goalkeeper Shi Guo Wen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 蒋誉朋 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the game, Radoslaw Zagrodny recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Sabóia. Radoslaw Zagrodny showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Radoslaw Zagrodny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zé Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petrigai Guau to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Petrigai Guau sped through Saiko FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Sabóia. The crowd rose to their feet as Saiko FC's Eliseu Fonseca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Shi Guo Wen. That made the score 3-1 after 54 minutes of play. BRUGGE FC made a substitution. Helder Cadanes replaced 蒋誉朋. A collision led to BRUGGE FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Helder Cadanes hit a great ball. If Walmir Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 64 minutes Saiko FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Petrigai Guau who took care of the corner kick. Petrigai Guau made a great header on BRUGGE FC's corner, it was just that Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia managed to reach the ball for a save. BRUGGE FC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Saiko FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Petrigai Guau took the corner. After 71 played minutes Saiko FC got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Trancoso. After having played for 75 minutes, Petrigai Guau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BRUGGE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petrigai Guau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radoslaw Zagrodny in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Rui Avelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Radoslaw Zagrodny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petrigai Guau in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Avelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 84 minutes of play, BRUGGE FC's Rui Avelar made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Sabóia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 91 played minutes Saiko FC got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Garcia. When Rui Avelar came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the BRUGGE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Avelar couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. BRUGGE FC had played much better football throughout.
