In the 5th minute, Elpidio Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tito Chayo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute, Elpidio Francis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elpidio Francis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nippur de Lagash 2's Sergio Dantae quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bonifacio Suarez, made in the 15th minute of the game. A collision led to Nippur de Lagash 2 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gavino De Mitri hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Lehen got free with Branislav Velchevski in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elpidio Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute, Elpidio Francis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernan Lehen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Gavino De Mitri in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Petrică Măcriș. In the 35th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tito Chayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Elpidio Francis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 40 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tito Chayo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. André Monclús replaced Elpidio Francis. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernan Lehen was the one to do the kick off. Nippur de Lagash 2's Tito Chayo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Nippur de Lagash 2 from getting a goal against them. Tito Chayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Asteri in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, André Monclús had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tito Chayo. Nippur de Lagash 2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Monclús was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. With a little luck, Nippur de Lagash 2's Tito Chayo got control of the ball when Aristides Asteri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tito Chayo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when André Monclús sent off a good shot on target. Branislav Velchevski came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Nippur de Lagash 2's Israel Oliviero. But to his dismay, Israel Oliviero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. André Monclús blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tito Chayo having to make a save. In the 84th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Asteri to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, André Monclús made a precise shot to the right of Tito Chayo. Nippur de Lagash 2's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nippur de Lagash 2's goalkeeper Tito Chayo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petrică Măcriș kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
