The supporters of Criciúma Esporte Clube booed when Nonatos United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pedro de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Laurentzi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised João Vítor Arósio 8 minutes into the match. João Vítor Arósio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Laurentzi went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Nonatos United's João Pedro de Amaral got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Paulo Laurentzi came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Criciúma Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Laurentzi couldn't finish the play. João Vítor Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Paulo Laurentzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but João Vítor Arósio made a huge save. João Pedro de Amaral's late challenge caught a Criciúma Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Pedro de Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. Jerzy Giejda made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Criciúma Esporte Clube's Jann Kaldur. Nonatos United's João Vítor Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Nonatos United from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar Castro came free, but Evelio Antoniano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nonatos United's João Vítor Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Nonatos United from getting a goal against them. After 37 played minutes Criciúma Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Laurentzi. 40 minutes into the match, Paulo Laurentzi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Vítor Arósio. Nonatos United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Laurentzi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 43rd minute, Paulo Laurentzi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Vítor Arósio. The goal made the score 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Laurentzi in the 47th minute of play forced Nonatos United's goalkeeper João Vítor Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Sergipano to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Vítor Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Vítor Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Laurentzi in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Luiz Valadares got a free kick in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink. Nonatos United's João Vítor Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Laurentzi in the 67th minute of play. João Vítor Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bieito Villaurreta in the 75th minute of play. João Vítor Arósio came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi. But to his dismay, Paulo Laurentzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Eriz Marques was substituted for Bieito Villaurreta. João Vítor Arósio came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi. But to his dismay, Paulo Laurentzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 86 minutes into the match, Nonatos United's goal looked a bit too open when Eriz Marques came free, but João Vítor Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Eriz Marques sped through Nonatos United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Vítor Arósio. 90 minutes into the game, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Vítor Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. The supporters of Criciúma Esporte Clube booed when Nonatos United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerzy Giejda didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Criciúma Esporte Clube were the better team. Criciúma Esporte Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
