When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Piearres Olalla sped through Panthiseiakos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stergios Panoulias. The Underdogs's Ate Kloppenburg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Themos Papoulis in the 19 minute of the game. After 20 minutes, Dolf Schoonderwoerd made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Panthiseiakos's Stergios Panoulias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piearres Olalla in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Piearres Olalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stergios Panoulias. Panthiseiakos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Piearres Olalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 40 minutes into the match, Panthiseiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Dolf Schoonderwoerd came free, but Stergios Panoulias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kostas Samoladas to strike the kick off in the second half. Dolf Schoonderwoerd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stergios Panoulias having to interfere. If Dolf Schoonderwoerd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Underdogs made a substitution. Riemer Fries replaced Frank de Boer. After a defensive mix-up in Panthiseiakos's zone, Dolf Schoonderwoerd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stergios Panoulias came out of the goal and Dolf Schoonderwoerd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dolf Schoonderwoerd might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stergios Panoulias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Panthiseiakos's Stergios Panoulias got control of the ball when Dolf Schoonderwoerd tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Piearres Olalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stergios Panoulias. The goal made the score 0-10. After a defensive mix-up in Panthiseiakos's zone, Dolf Schoonderwoerd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stergios Panoulias came out of the goal and Dolf Schoonderwoerd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Piearres Olalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stergios Panoulias was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Dolf Schoonderwoerd might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stergios Panoulias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran back to his position shaking his head. Stergios Panoulias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stergios Panoulias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. After 94 played minutes Panthiseiakos got a freekick which was hit by Vassilis Vlachakis. The Underdogs's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
