After 12 played minutes, Royal Antwerp FC's Frederick Vereect shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aristide Iftodi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Royal Antwerp FC reached it. After 13 minutes of play, CF REALCipri's Aurel Zeciu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Weggers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aurel Zeciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but William Weggers made a huge save. In the 17th minute, CF REALCipri's Aurel Zeciu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind William Weggers. William Weggers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The supporters of CF REALCipri booed when Royal Antwerp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Keuppens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mircea Balaci took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for William Weggers. Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute, CF REALCipri's Aurel Zeciu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind William Weggers. William Weggers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. A collision led to Royal Antwerp FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ward Reiniers hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Mircea Balaci shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but William Weggers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Octavian Florescu came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the CF REALCipri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavian Florescu couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Aurel Zeciu sped through Royal Antwerp FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of William Weggers. Aurel Zeciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. William Weggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Royal Antwerp FC's Jamie Van Latem got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Aurel Zeciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF REALCipri's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Zeciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. William Weggers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Royal Antwerp FC defense, Octavian Florescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of William Weggers. The Royal Antwerp FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that William Weggers should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper William Weggers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CF REALCipri had played much better football throughout.
