But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ianis Hagi couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored DINAMO PLOIESTI's protests and gave Kunter Irmak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute of the match, George Bălanescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Isac Hojbota was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind DINAMO PLOIESTI's goalkeeper Marcos-Evangelista Didarov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If George Bălanescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Ernest Manea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos-Evangelista Didarov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kunter Irmak. If Ernest Manea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Manea in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos-Evangelista Didarov saved DINAMO PLOIESTI from getting behind.

The wind increased when Ernest Manea made the kick off in the second half. Ianis Hagi kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Olimpiu Rizea was substituted for Ernest Manea. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Vali Maghiar was substituted for Yosua Helguera. In the 73rd minute of the match, Olimpiu Rizea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos-Evangelista Didarov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Claudiu Dragan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Hojbota having to interfere. Martin Crușeveanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos-Evangelista Didarov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Florentin Petre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Politehnica Timisoara made a substitution. Elias Abad replaced Håvard Bjørke. Cristian Aluncai kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
