Eduard Angheloiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Scobioalã in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Stefan Vanghele ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduard Angheloiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Emil Juravschi succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Ruslan Pânzaru charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruslan Pânzaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes UFC Puturoasa got a freekick which was hit by Ruslan Pânzaru. UFC Puturoasa's Carlos Alberto Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Şumălan in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of -BZF- Viitorul Buzau booed when UFC Puturoasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruslan Pânzaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of UFC Puturoasa booed when -BZF- Viitorul Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niculae Luican didn't get a good kick on the ball. The UFC Puturoasa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. UFC Puturoasa's Emil Scobioalã got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduard Angheloiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emil Scobioalã went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's zone, Emil Scobioalã stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduard Angheloiu came out of the goal and Emil Scobioalã tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to UFC Puturoasa getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Alexei Caraman hit a great ball. Nicodim Vătăşel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute.
