Seth Mann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Horia Tătaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Seth Mann was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 41st minute Horia Tătaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seth Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Michael Stor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Jan Pihlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulisses Linares in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Manchester United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Horia Tătaru came free, but Seth Mann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Preator Edikt's Albert Örnberg was substituted for Fellipe Vianna. Jan Pihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Bibby, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. It was a well-played corner which Bernt Larsson managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jan Pihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Soter, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Preator Edikt's Horia Tătaru got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th match minute, Manchester United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John King to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Preator Edikt booed when Manchester United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Preator Edikt played a much better game than Manchester United F.C. and deserved their victory. The Manchester United F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
