When Zsolt Székely came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the VfL Bad Nenndorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zsolt Székely couldn't finish the play. Lucrețiu Brătescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Van Bever in the 43rd minute of play. The Pezerik players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Themis Papadimoulis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Wart Goegebeur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Brătescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
