In the 5thth minute of the game Edmund Balkiewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Locura Académica's Davide Franco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmund Balkiewicz in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davide Franco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the game, Edmund Balkiewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Davide Franco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Torres came free, but Davide Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urbano Ortega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Guga de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urbano Ortega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga de Azevedo having to interfere. Davide Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Torres in the 30th minute of play. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Edmund Balkiewicz sped through Locura Académica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Davide Franco. Guga de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Ortega in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Xandeco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Vander to maneuver through the defense. Urbano Ortega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga de Azevedo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Edmund Balkiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xandeco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmund Balkiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davide Franco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 44 minutes, Edmund Balkiewicz made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Locura Académica's Davide Franco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbano Ortega was the one to do the kick off. Xandeco FC's Guga de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Ortega in the 54th minute of play. Edmund Balkiewicz scored 0-4 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davide Franco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicolas Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Urbano Ortega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guga de Azevedo was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Guga de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Hartz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Urbano Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Locura Académica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Ortega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xandeco FC were furious when Vânderson Palmeira was red carded, 66 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 68 minutes of play, Locura Académica's Remus Pinches made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guga de Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gaudencio Hartz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Guga de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xandeco FC's Dino Amorim was substituted for Luiz Torres. Ronald Koeman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga de Azevedo having to interfere. Xandeco FC's Edmund Balkiewicz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Locura Académica's goalkeeper Davide Franco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Nóbrega. A nice corner shot did that Lino Vander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Davide Franco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Ortega in the 92nd minute of play forced Xandeco FC's goalkeeper Guga de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Edmund Balkiewicz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Davide Franco. Edmund Balkiewicz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. In the 100th minute Edmund Balkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Xandeco FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Xandeco FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
