Eduardo Pereyra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harry Deckberg to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Macerio got free with Eduardo Pereyra in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Eduardo Pereyra managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Majadita FC's Melquiades Esiquio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pablo Guipuzkoa made a great header on Majadita FC's corner, it was just that New York Red Bulls's Eduardo Pereyra managed to reach the ball for a save. 82 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Deckberg came free, but Eduardo Pereyra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristinel Alamaru was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 85th match minute, New York Red Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristinel Alamaru to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Macerio got free with Eduardo Pereyra in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Harry Deckberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Pereyra was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, New York Red Bulls's Salih Şahsuvaroğlu got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 93rd play minute Robustiano Macerio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eduardo Pereyra. 0-4. Harry Deckberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Eduardo Pereyra made a huge save. When the match was over Majadita FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than New York Red Bulls throughout the match.
