Jan Lindström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vincent Kellbom in the 6th minute. Radamel Oakley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Benett in the 11th minute of play forced Днепр ФК's goalkeeper Vladislav Maksimychev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes Днепр ФК's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Billy Fristedt who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Billy Fristedt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vladislav Maksimychev quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 15 minutes into the match, Radamel Oakley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladislav Maksimychev. Днепр ФК's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radamel Oakley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dmitriy Bogaenko in the 18th minute of play forced Surahammar's goalkeeper Jan Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radamel Oakley in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladislav Maksimychev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Surahammar's Jan Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Kellbom in the 24th minute of play. Ralf Rapp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Lindström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Benett in the 33rd minute of play forced Днепр ФК's goalkeeper Vladislav Maksimychev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Kristóf Sass threw the ball into play from the sideline. The supporters of Днепр ФК booed when Surahammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Kodzhabashev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radamel Oakley to strike the kick off in the second half. Vladislav Maksimychev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Kodzhabashev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Calisto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Lindström having to make a save. Vladislav Maksimychev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but André Pettersson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 95 minute of play. The Surahammar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Surahammar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
