Jiang De might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jiang De ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang De in the 8th minute of play forced Blågula Fantomer FF's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Blågula Fantomer FF defense, Jiang De kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tony Guimarães. The Blågula Fantomer FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Guimarães should have stopped the shot. In the 14th match minute, Gremio Viana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiang De to maneuver through the defense. Tony Guimarães came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Viana's Jiang De. But to his dismay, Jiang De quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 27 minutes into the game, Jiang De cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Tony Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio Viana from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Amado Melo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Jiang De might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jiang De ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute Jiang De shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by Albi Koka. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang De in the 43rd minute of play forced Blågula Fantomer FF's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Blågula Fantomer FF's Ivan Hylander got a free kick in the 44th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jiang De in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Guimarães saved Blågula Fantomer FF from getting behind. After the first half Gremio Viana were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Samuel Fiúza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Glad, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The throw-in from Gabriel Glad in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Severino Torcato. After having played for 57 minutes, Jiang De managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio Viana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jiang De was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Gremio Viana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariusz Lamczyk to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Albi Koka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Luna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tony Guimarães firmly grabbed it by the left post. Carlos Luna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Tony Guimarães made a huge save. After 69 minutes of play, Gremio Viana's Carlos Luna made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gremio Viana's Antonio Calisto was substituted for Tony Påk. Gabriel Glad made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gremio Viana's Albi Koka. Tony Guimarães was a little too slow when Carlos Luna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Johnsson in the 83rd minute of play forced Gremio Viana's goalkeeper Samuel Fiúza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Luna's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Tony Guimarães skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 92 minutes into the game, Carlos Luna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tony Guimarães. Carlos Luna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gremio Viana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
