The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Xurupita FC's zone, Marcinho Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Pimenta came out of the goal and Marcinho Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 3 minutes into the game, Karni Yair was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xurupita FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Florestal Futebol Clube the free kick. A collision led to Xurupita FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Karni Yair hit a great ball. In the 6th minute Kauan Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Kauan Rosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Raimundo Braga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute, Marcinho Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karni Yair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raimundo Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 27 minutes of play, Xurupita FC's Fe Fe made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Braga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xurupita FC's Jarbas Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo de Lara in the 31st minute of play. Florestal Futebol Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sherif Cannavaro in the 33rd minute. Sherif Cannavaro made a great header on Florestal Futebol Clube's corner, it was just that Xurupita FC's Jarbas Pimenta managed to reach the ball for a save. 36 minutes into the match, Kauan Rosa notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Florestal Futebol Clube's Raimundo Braga. Raimundo Braga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Mineiro in the 54th minute of play forced Xurupita FC's goalkeeper Jarbas Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florestal Futebol Clube's Raimundo Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Rosa in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Kauan Rosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo Braga. Florestal Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kauan Rosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Jarbas Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ange Garrec was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Xurupita FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Florestal Futebol Clube booed when Xurupita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dustin Zentner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Sherif Cannavaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florestal Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sherif Cannavaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Xurupita FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
