FC Inter Craiova's attentive André Luiz Pitta managed to snatch the ball when Zeng Chong Kang made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. Edgar Iovanovici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göksel Canfeda having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind istanbulls's goalkeeper Göksel Canfeda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 林晨川 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Patric Bierhoff reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nichifor Măgurean. The goal made the score 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Nichifor Măgurean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for istanbulls. istanbulls were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Inter Craiova for a fine match.
