If Cezary Kasiewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sune Lundström kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Kasiewski in the 14th minute of play forced Laxå IF's goalkeeper Yaşar Şerif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute of the match, Ludomir Zacharek got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yaşar Şerif was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Laxå IF's Yaşar Şerif proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Laxå IF from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Sokolski in the 23rd minute of play forced Laxå IF's goalkeeper Yaşar Şerif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ludomir Zacharek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Yaşar Şerif made a huge save. GKS Katowice:s Amadeo Roma showed great skill when he stopped Fulgencio Jaizki:s penalty. Laxå IF's Yaşar Şerif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Věroslav Skalický in the 33rd minute of play. Amadeo Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Julin, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Cezary Kasiewski took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yaşar Şerif. Yaşar Şerif dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ludomir Zacharek was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Kasiewski in the 60th minute of play forced Laxå IF's goalkeeper Yaşar Şerif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Laxå IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomir Zacharek came free, but Yaşar Şerif reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezary Kasiewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laxå IF's Karl-Erik Hökqvist was substituted for Adam Classon. After 72 played minutes Laxå IF got a freekick which was hit by Sten Hård. In the 75th minute, GKS Katowice's Dominik Brysz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dominik Brysz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GKS Katowice protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dominik Brysz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in GKS Katowice fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! After some careless play in the GKS Katowice defense, Thor Berglund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Roma. The GKS Katowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Roma should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute Olgierd Cwojdak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yaşar Şerif saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Olgierd Cwojdak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yaşar Şerif was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Hård during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Laxå IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Hård to maneuver through the defense. Laxå IF were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over GKS Katowice's much stronger midfield.
