After a defensive mix-up in Lidice's zone, Diguinho Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Gaspar came out of the goal and Diguinho Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Danone CC booed when Lidice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Teles in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Teles in the 7th minute of play forced Lidice's goalkeeper Vitinho Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Danone CC's Diguinho Teles in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lidice's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Velloso in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitinho Gaspar saved Lidice from getting behind. After having played for 16 minutes, Jeremias Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Danone CC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitinho Gaspar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremias Velloso went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Vitinho Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Velloso in the 26th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jeremias Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitinho Gaspar was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After 30 minutes of play, Danone CC's Diguinho Teles made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitinho Gaspar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 32 minutes, Jeremias Velloso made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeremias Velloso in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitinho Gaspar saved Lidice from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Velloso in the 41st minute of play forced Lidice's goalkeeper Vitinho Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitinho Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jeremias Velloso succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. After 54 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Carneiro. Isaltino Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Kvarnström in the 57th minute of play. Maurício Rodrigues hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni de Alcântara. In the 60th minute Zé Carlos Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-5 became the score in the 62nd minute when Jeremias Velloso elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Daniel Kvarnström hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar got control of the ball when Diguinho Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diguinho Teles came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vitinho Gaspar could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Lidice's Zé Carlos Moreno got a free kick in the 68th minute. Diguinho Teles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Vitinho Gaspar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Danone CC's Diguinho Teles managed to work through Lidice's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Diguinho Teles dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Fausto Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Gaspar having to interfere. Danone CC's Edmundo Gol was substituted for Jeremias Velloso. Vitinho Gaspar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diguinho Teles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 82 minute of play. Diguinho Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Gaspar having to interfere. When Maurício Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Danone CC's protests and gave Maurício Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lidice booed when Danone CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Gaspar having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Danone CC's Diguinho Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vitinho Gaspar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Danone CC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
