With an all-out effort, TR - UYANIŞ KIZILELMA -'s Abelardo Janpier threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arno Jahe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Abelardo Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Hakan Şükür in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, TR - UYANIŞ KIZILELMA -'s goal looked a bit too open when Todd Gronow came free, but Cláudio-André Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arno Jahe in the 20th minute of play forced Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Gronow in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio-André Taffarel saved TR - UYANIŞ KIZILELMA - from getting behind. In the 23rd match minute, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Nafarroa to maneuver through the defense. Lütfi Erkılıç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arno Jahe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosmin Cluceru. Mustafa Hakan Şükür fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Janpier having to interfere. Abelardo Janpier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arno Jahe, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Çelik Özdoğan kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Zhuo Bo Bo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Lütfi Erkılıç took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abelardo Janpier. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Abelardo Janpier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Hakan Şükür in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
