Renan Melo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Albano Ortle. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 76th minute He Song shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, He Song had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renan Melo. A.A. Francana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that He Song was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. The audience was convinced that He Song's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renan Melo was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
