Matthijs Meerdink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆'s goalkeeper Santos Guillen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flavius Pantea. Matthijs Meerdink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Heriberto in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Damian Heriberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Matthijs Meerdink was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 27 minutes, Damian Heriberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Heriberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matthijs Meerdink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Heriberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute Damian Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthijs Meerdink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Damian Heriberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthijs Meerdink was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavius Pantea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Kirchroa's Matthijs Meerdink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Heriberto in the 54th minute of play. Ramon María Quintana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Guillen having to interfere. Matthijs Meerdink made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Heriberto in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes FC Kirchroa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Fabiano Cavalcante who took care of the corner kick. 68 minutes into the game, Damian Heriberto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matthijs Meerdink. Damian Heriberto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 70 minutes into the match, FC Kirchroa's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Abreu came free, but Matthijs Meerdink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvio Abreu took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthijs Meerdink. Matthijs Meerdink dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Elvio Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Matthijs Meerdink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Kirchroa's Teo Lembeck got a free kick in the 77th minute. Matthijs Meerdink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Heriberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Adriaan van Schaik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Kirchroa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆ the free kick. The supporters of A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆ booed when FC Kirchroa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriaan van Schaik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teo Lembeck hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Damian Heriberto scored 0-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matthijs Meerdink, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damian Heribertos short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Matthijs Meerdink to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The FC Kirchroa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆'s performance. The match ended with a win for A Sку Fυℓℓ σf Sтαяѕ ☆.
