Patricio Ugutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Bünyamin Başel hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Marcos Fantini got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Dale Dolar rounded SORRISO E. C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 30th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes SORRISO E. But to his dismay, Dale Dolar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caco Azevedo. That made the score 4-0 after 36 minutes of play. Dale Dolar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caco Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After 48 minutes SORRISO E. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amílton Loyola who took care of the corner kick. Caco Azevedo was a little too slow when Bünyamin Başel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 49th minute. The score was now 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murilo Prestes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Dolar in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caco Azevedo saved SORRISO E. C. from getting behind. In the 65th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Dale Dolar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dale Dolar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caco Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dale Dolar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caco Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Prestes came free, but Patricio Ugutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Murilo Prestes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Ugutz was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Patricio Ugutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Prestes in the 85th minute of the match.
