The supporters of Olympus booed when River Plate. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Raphael didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernan Gaztea in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Héctor Gaviria saved River Plate. from getting behind. Domingo Papo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Héctor Gaviria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juliusz Gmoch in the 26th minute of play. Héctor Gaviria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernan Gaztea went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute Juliusz Gmoch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Héctor Gaviria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Juliusz Gmoch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate.'s Héctor Gaviria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anibal Camerino was the one to do the kick off. Héctor Gaviria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Innocenzio in the 55th minute of the match. Francisco Etor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ludomil Wasikowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 60th minute River Plate. were awarded a corner. Francisco Etor went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on River Plate.'s corner Francisco Etor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ludomil Wasikowski quite easily take care of the ball. Juliusz Gmoch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Héctor Gaviria having to interfere. River Plate.'s Héctor Gaviria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Innocenzio in the 69th minute of play. Baldomero Innocenzio took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Héctor Gaviria. Héctor Gaviria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The referee gave Oscar Jago a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Baldomero Innocenzio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympus's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Innocenzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Héctor Gaviria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernabe Bidun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Héctor Gaviria. River Plate.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Olympus's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
